Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Voidfield collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the Game needs to work, we don't sell your information, and the Game has no ads or ad trackers.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your email address, your callsign, and your password. The password is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form by our login provider, so we can't read it.
- Game data: your progress (ships, crew, credits, battle stats), settings, clan membership and clan records.
- Chat messages you send in general or clan chat, along with your callsign and the time sent.
- Purchase records: what you bought, the price, the date, and payment status. Card details are entered on Stripe's page and handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive your full card number.
- Online status: whether you are in the dock or in a battle is shared live with other players while you're connected, and is not stored afterwards.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting and service providers receive your IP address and browser information when you connect, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
- Guest play: if you play without an account, your progress is saved only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us.
2. How we use it
- to run the Game: log you in, save and sync your progress, run chat and clans, and deliver purchases;
- to send account emails, like confirming your email or resetting your password (no marketing emails unless you opt in later);
- to keep the Game safe: filter language, prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- to handle payments, refunds and support requests, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run the Game for us, and only for that purpose:
- Supabase: accounts, database and live chat
- Stripe: payment processing
- Resend: account emails
- Cloudflare: website hosting and security
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr: deliver fonts and code libraries to your browser
Other players can see your callsign, clan tag, chat messages, clan roster details (such as your current ship and win record) and online status. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect players and the Game. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
4. How long we keep it
- Chat messages are deleted automatically after about 7 days.
- Account and game data are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed within 30 days.
- Purchase records may be kept longer where the law requires it for tax and accounting.
5. Your choices and rights
- Access or correct your information by emailing [email protected].
- Delete your account and its data by emailing [email protected] from your account's email address.
- Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have extra rights, such as data portability or objecting to certain uses. Contact us and we'll honor the rights that apply to you.
6. Cookies and local storage
Voidfield doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The Game uses your browser's local storage for essentials: your guest progress, settings like sound volume, and keeping you logged in.
7. Children
Accounts, chat, clans and purchases are only for players 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and database rules that let each player read only their own private data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. Changes
We'll post any updates here with a new date, and tell you in the Game about important changes.
